Consumption of sunflower oil in Cyprus is set to increase by an average of 1.8% annually over the next five years, rising from 11,000 metric tons in 2021 to 12,000 metric tons in 2026. Since 2017, the demand for this commodity has been growing by 3.2% each year. In 2021, Cyprus ranked 74th in the world in terms of its consumption of sunflower oil, behind Latvia at 11,000 metric tons. Russia, Spain, and Argentina were the top three countries in this ranking, respectively.
