Demand for Soybean Oil in Ecuador is set to increase in the coming years. By 2026, the country is expected to consume 91,000 metric tons, representing a 0.4% year-on-year growth since 2017. Ecuador ranked 28th in 2021 with a consumption of 89,000 metric tons, behind the Dominican Republic. China, India and Brazil were the second, third and fourth in the ranking. Meanwhile, Ecuadorian production of Soybean Oil is projected to decrease to 3,650 metric tons in 2026, declining 6.1% year-on-year on average since 1966. In 2021, the country was ranked 67th with a production of 5,270 metric tons, behind Bosnia and Herzegovina. The United States, Brazil and Argentina came second, third and fourth in the ranking.
