Jamaica's soybean oil consumption totalled 10 thousand metric tons in 2018, a slight increase compared to the previous year. This was the highest level recorded in the last 53 years. In 2018, Jamaica's soybean oil production amounted to 11 thousand metric tons, a 22.2% increase from the previous year. This was the highest level since 1966. Kuwait overtook Jamaica, with 11 thousand metric tons. The United States, Brazil and Argentina were the major producers in this ranking, in that order.
