Consumption of soybean oil in Guatemala is expected to reach 81,000 metric tons by 2026, up 0.6% annually from 78,000 metric tons in 2021. Since 2017, consumption in the country has increased by 0.4% each year. Guatemala was the 35th largest consumer in 2021, while Vietnam was the 34th with 78,000 metric tons. China, India and Brazil were the second, third and fourth-largest consumers, respectively. Meanwhile, production of soybean oil in Guatemala is forecast to dip 2.3% annually to 5,590 metric tons by 2026, down from 6,390 metric tons in 2021. Since 1967, production in the country has dropped by 6.4% each year. Guatemala was the 63rd largest producer in 2021, while Finland was the 62nd with 6,390 metric tons. The United States, Brazil and Argentina were the second, third and fourth-largest producers, respectively.
