Belize is set to see a 2.7% year-on-year increase in consumption of soybean oil in 2026, bringing it up to 2.4 thousand metric tons. This follows a period of relative stability since 2017, when it was number 96 in the global ranking. In 2021, Belize was overtaken by Tanzania, while China, India, and Brazil were the top three in the rankings. Belize is also set to experience a 3.7% year-on-year increase in production of soybean oil in 2026, increasing to 1,400 metric tons. It has seen some growth since 2016, when it was number 84 in the rankings. Gabon has since overtaken Belize, while the US, Brazil, and Argentina have the three highest production levels.
