Greek soybean oil production is set to rise slightly in the next five years, according to a new report. In 2021, the country's production stood at around 59 thousand metric tons, a slight increase of 0.4% compared to the previous year. This made Greece the 38th largest producer of the oil in the world. Israel was ahead with 58 thousand metric tons. The United States, Brazil and Argentina occupied the 2nd, 3rd and 4th positions, respectively. Since 1979, however, Greek production has decreased by an average of 1.9% per year. Meanwhile, consumption of soybean oil in Greece was 11 thousand metric tons in 2018, the same as the year before.
