Portugal's soybean oil consumption is projected to drop slightly by 2026, with an average yearly decrease of 1.4%. In 2021, it reached 28 thousand metric tons, down 2.1% from 2017. The country was ranked 54th, overtaken by Uzbekistan's 31 thousand metric tons. China, India, and Brazil placed second, third, and fourth respectively. Meanwhile, soybean oil production in Portugal is estimated to increase by 1.5% annually, reaching 186 thousand metric tons by 2026. It was 169.9 thousand metric tons in 2021, a 6.3% increase since 1974. Portugal was the 26th largest producer, overtaken by South Korea's 169.9 thousand metric tons. The United States, Brazil, and Argentina ranked second, third, and fourth respectively.
