Latvian soybean oil consumption is set to hit zero thousand metric tons in 2021, a drop of 100% from 2020. This puts the country in 113th place, just behind the Solomon Islands. China, India and Brazil took the top three spots in the rankings. Latvian soybean oil production is expected to reach 1,410 metric tons by 2026, up 0.7% from 2021. This is an increase of 35% since 1997, with Latvian production in 81st place, pipped by Sri Lanka. The United States, Brazil and Argentina took the top three spots in the rankings.
