Romanian consumption of soybean oil is predicted to reach 17,000 metric tons by 2026. This is a slight 1.2% increase from 2021's figure of 16,000 metric tons. Since 2017, demand has remained steady. In 2021, Romania was in 65th place, behind Senegal's 16,000 metric tons. The top three countries for soybean oil consumption were China, India, and Brazil. Meanwhile, Romanian production of soybean oil is forecast to reach 54,990 metric tons by 2026, a 2% year-on-year rise from 2021's figure of 48,910 metric tons. Since 1966, supply has decreased by 2.6% year on year. In 2021, Romania was in 41st place, behind Costa Rica's 48,910 metric tons. The United States, Brazil, and Argentina were the top three countries for soybean oil production.
