Burmese soybean oil consumption is projected to reach 19,400 metric tons by 2026, down 2.1% from 2021. Demand has been declining since 2017, when it was down 1.5%. The country ranked 61st in 2021, with Uruguay overtaking Burmese at 22,000 metric tons. China, India and Brazil came in second, third and fourth, respectively. Burmese soybean oil production is forecast to reach 21,950 metric tons in 2026, a 0.4% decrease from 2021. Supply has been growing since 1966, when it rose 0.5%. The country ranked 48th in 2021, with Austria overtaking at 22,450 metric tons. The United States, Brazil and Argentina were second, third and fourth, respectively.
