Laos' soybean oil production is forecast to drop to 543,000 metric tons in 2026 from 629,000 metric tons in 2021. This is an average decline of 2.5% year-on-year since 1966. In 2021, Laos ranked 86th, overtaken by Uzbekistan which produced 629 metric tons. The US, Brazil and Argentina were the top three producers. Meanwhile, Laos' soybean oil consumption remained at 1,000 metric tons in 2018, the same as in 2017.
