In the global ranking for 2023, Tajikistan was positioned at number 95, just behind Azerbaijan, which also recorded spice consumption of around 1,000 metric tons. Leading the ranking were Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Thailand, respectively holding the second, third, and fourth positions. On the production front, Tajikistan's spice output is forecasted to rise to approximately 2,600 metric tons by 2028, up from 2,000 metric tons in 2023. This represents a year-on-year growth rate of 3.4% on average. Notably, since 2021, Tajik spice production has surged by 14.9% annually. In 2023, Tajikistan was ranked 54th in global spice production, with the Czech Republic slightly ahead, also producing around 2,000 metric tons. The top producers in this ranking were China, Nigeria, and Indonesia, occupying the second, third, and fourth spots, respectively.
