On the production front, Brazilian spice output is expected to reach around 139,000 metric tons by 2028, up from 116,000 metric tons in 2023, reflecting a 2.8% annual growth rate. Since 2019, Brazilian spice production has also seen a yearly increase of 2.8%. In 2023, Brazil was the 15th largest spice producer, with Ghana surpassing it at 116,000 metric tons. The top spots in spice production were held by China, Nigeria, and Indonesia, ranking second, third, and fourth, respectively.
