On the production front, Guatemalan spice output is expected to remain stable, reaching around 41,000 metric tons by 2028, a figure consistent with 2023 levels. The country's spice supply has seen a slight decline of 0.5% annually since 2019. In 2023, Guatemala was ranked 26th globally, with Japan taking the lead at 41,000 metric tons. China, Nigeria, and Indonesia followed in the second, third, and fourth positions.
