Since 2019, Spanish spice production has seen a yearly increase of 1.3%. In 2023, Spain ranked 40th in global spice production, with Laos just ahead at 16,000 metric tons. The top positions were held by China, Nigeria, and Indonesia, ranking second, third, and fourth respectively.
