**Cambodian Spice Consumption Declines Amid Global Rankings** Phnom Penh, Cambodia - Cambodian spice consumption is projected to reach approximately 11,000 metric tons by 2028, down from 12,000 metric tons in 2023. This marks an average annual decline of 0.9%. Over the past four years, the country's demand for spices has decreased by 1.6% annually. In 2023, Cambodia ranked 53rd globally in spice consumption, with Afghanistan surpassing it with an equivalent 12,000 metric tons. Leading the global ranking were Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Thailand, occupying the second, third, and fourth spots, respectively. On the production front, Cambodia maintained a steady output of 15,000 metric tons in 2018, unchanged from the previous year.
