By 2026 Chile's strawberry production is projected to fall to 24,770 metric tons, 1% lower than the current 2021 level of 26,260 metric tons. This is a continuation of the trend since 1988, when supply rose steadily by 0.7% year on year. In 2021 Chile was the 26th largest strawberry producer, overtaken by Peru with 26,260 metric tons. The United States, Mexico and Egypt ranked second, third and fourth, respectively.
