Romanian strawberry production is on the rise. In 2026, the county is projected to produce 25,270 metric tons of the fruit. That's an increase of 0.7% from 2021's figure of 24,400 metric tons. Since 1966, there has been a steady rise in the country's strawberry supply, with an average of 1.2% growth each year. Romania placed 27th in the global rankings in 2021, with Chile coming out on top at 24,400 metric tons. The US, Mexico, and Egypt rounded out the top four.
