Since 2017, demand has risen by 2.7% annually. The country is currently ranked 14th in global consumption, behind Morocco, who leads the way with 390,000 metric tons. The United States, India and Iran follow in second, third and fourth place respectively. Meanwhile, Russian grape production is set to reach 826,040 metric tons by 2026, up from 713,880 metric tons in 2021. This marks a 2.5% year-on-year average rate of growth. Since 1997, supply has increased by 3.5% annually. The country currently ranks 20th in global production, behind Portugal, who leads the way with 713,880 metric tons. Italy, the United States and Spain follow in second, third and fourth place respectively.
