Thai grape consumption is on the rise, expected to reach a quarter of a million metric tons by 2026. This follows an impressive growth rate of 3.2% since 2017. In 2021, Thailand came in at 21st place in the world rankings, with Kazakhstan taking the lead at 236 thousand metric tons. The US, India, and Iran followed at numbers two, three, and four respectively. Thai grape production is also on the rise, set to reach 96,460 metric tons by 2026. Since 1966, the supply has increased by 2.2% year on year. In 2021, Thailand placed 51st in the world rankings, with Uruguay taking the lead at 89,650 metric tons. Italy, the US, and Spain followed at numbers two, three, and four respectively.
