Grape consumption in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is expected to decline from 30 thousand metric tons in 2021 to 23 thousand metric tons in 2026. Since 2017, demand for grapes has grown by nearly 5% each year. At the end of 2021, the UAE ranked 66th in the world in grape consumption, with Guatemala just ahead at 30 thousand metric tons. The United States, India and Iran occupied the top three spots in the ranking. Meanwhile, grape production in the UAE is projected to drop from 30 metric tons in 2021 to 24 metric tons in 2026. Since 1976, production has decreased by 3% annually. The UAE ranked 90th in the world in 2021, with Bahrain just ahead at 30 metric tons. Italy, the United States and Spain occupied the top three spots in the ranking.
