Lebanon is set to experience a decrease in grape consumption and production in the coming years. Consumption of grapes in Lebanon is forecasted to reach 27,000 metric tons by 2026, down by 0.7% from 2021. Since 2017, demand for the fruit has remained steady, putting the country in 70th place in 2021. Norway had the highest consumption with 28,000 metric tons. The United States, India and Iran respectively came in at 2nd, 3rd and 4th place. Production of grapes in Lebanon is anticipated to reach 31,030 metric tons by 2026, with an average yearly decrease of 8.6% since 1966. The country dropped to 58th place in 2021, with Jordan surpassing it with 51,840 metric tons. Italy, the United States and Spain respectively took the top 3 spots in the ranking. Overall, it appears that Lebanon will experience a decline in both grape consumption and production in the near future.
