Consumption of grapes in Serbia is projected to reach 110,000 metric tons by 2026, up from 108,000 metric tons in 2021 - a 0.2% annual increase since 2017. Last year, Serbia ranked 40th globally, having been overtaken by Macedonia. The United States, India and Iran were the world's top three grape-consuming countries in 2021. Meanwhile, production of grapes in Serbia is set to fall to 91,500 metric tons by 2026, down from 136,400 metric tons in 2021 - at an average rate of 6.7% per year since 2011. Serbia's ranking of 42nd in 2021 was surpassed by South Korea. Italy, the United States and Spain ranked second, third and fourth respectively in global grape production.
