Egyptian melon production is set to reach around 640,000 metric tons by 2026. This figure is down 1.6% year on year on average since 1966, when it first began to decline. In 2021, Egypt ranked fifth in global melon production, with 700,380 metric tons, just behind Iran. India, Kazakhstan, and Iran took the top three spots respectively.
