Brazilian melon production is set to reach approximately 664,000 metric tons by 2026. The country is currently ranked tenth, with Spain coming in ahead of them at 610,000 metric tons. India, Kazakhstan, and Iran are the second, third, and fourth top melon producers respectively. Since 1966, Brazil has seen a steady increase in melon production of about 0.5% year-on-year. This average rate is expected to rise to 1.4% year-on-year by 2026.
