Chilean melon production is set to dip by 1.7 percent year-on-year, on average, to reach a total of around 34,300 metric tons by 2026. This is down from the 37,840 metric tons produced in 2021, and a 2.8 percent decrease since 1966. In 2021, Chile ranked 41st in the global melon production rankings, with Albania coming in ahead at 37,840 metric tons. India, Kazakhstan and Iran followed, coming in 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
