Cuba's melon production is expected to drop slightly over the next five years, according to a new report. Production was 45,830 metric tons in 2021, but is forecast to drop to 43,760 metric tons by 2026, a decrease of 0.8% per year. This continues a trend of slow decline since 1966, when production was 1.1% lower year on year. Taiwan overtook Cuba in 2021, producing 45,830 metric tons. India, Kazakhstan and Iran followed in second, third and fourth place respectively.
