Mexico is projected to produce 659,090 metric tons of melons by 2026, according to a recent report. This represents a 0.7% year-on-year increase from the 631,120 metric tons produced in 2021. Since 1966, Mexican melon production has grown at an average annual rate of 1.2%. In 2021, Mexico ranked eighth in terms of output, with Guatemala taking the top spot with 631,120 metric tons. India, Kazakhstan and Iran respectively came in second, third and fourth.
