Libya's melon production is set to inch up slightly in the coming years. The country is projected to reach 26,550 metric tons of melon production by 2026. This is an increase of 0.1% on an annual basis, in line with the rate of growth since 1966. In 2021, Libya was the forty-eighth largest melon producer, with 26,410 metric tons. Mali overtook it with 26,410 metric tons, while India, Kazakhstan and Iran occupied the second, third and fourth spots.
