Nigerien melon production is set to reach 17,140 metric tons by 2026, a growth of 2.2% year-on-year since 2000. In 2021, the country ranked 56th in the world for melon supply with 15,010 metric tons, with Hungary overtaking them. India, Kazakhstan, and Iran are the next three countries in the ranking, coming in at 2nd, 3rd and 4th, respectively.
