Over the past 54 years, the nation's melon production has risen by 0.6 per cent each year. In 2021, it placed 63rd in the global rankings, with Palestine overtaking it at 3,720 metric tons. India, Kazakhstan and Iran followed in the second, third and fourth spots respectively.
