China is the world leader in melon production, with 14 million metric tons in 2021. India, Kazakhstan and Iran follow in second, third and fourth place respectively. Puerto Rico saw a 24.3% year-on-year increase in production since 1966, while Pakistan saw a 44.9% decrease in that same period.
