Indonesian melon production is forecast to drop by 1.4% year-on-year over the next five years, reaching 105,370 metric tons by 2026. This follows a 0.5% year-on-year decline since 1995. In 2021, Indonesia was the world's 22nd biggest producer of melons, with Costa Rica overtaking it in the rankings at 114,530 metric tons. India, Kazakhstan and Iran were the world's second, third and fourth biggest producers, respectively.
