Israel’s melon production is projected to decline 2.7% annually, from 29,460 metric tons in 2021 to 25,120 metric tons by 2026. This would be a continuation of the downward trend that has been seen since 1966, when production decreased by an average of 1.5% each year. In 2021, Israel was the 46th highest melon producer in the world, with Paraguay coming in first at 29,460 metric tons. India, Kazakhstan and Iran ranked second, third and fourth, respectively.
