French Polynesian melon production is projected to drop by 5.3% per year between 2021 and 2026. This would bring the total amount of melons supplied by the country to just over 127 metric tons. This drop in production can be traced back to 1966, when a 3.3% year-on-year decrease first began. French Polynesia is currently ranked 86th in terms of melon production, behind Djibouti, India, Kazakhstan and Iran.
