Futuna is set to become the 69th largest coconut producer in the world by 2026. Production of coconuts in Futuna is set to reach 4,500 metric tons by 2026, a 1.5% year-on-year growth since 1966. This puts Futuna ahead of Tokelau, which had 4,080 metric tons in 2021 and is currently ranked 69th in the world. India, the Philippines and Sri Lanka are respectively ranked in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th positions.
