Coconut production in American Samoa is set to reach almost 8,000 metric tons by 2026, according to a recent report. The report found that production has grown by an average of 1.1% each year since 1966. In 2021, American Samoa was placed in 57th position, with 7,550 metric tons of production. This was just behind Mozambique, who were in 56th position with 7,550 metric tons. India, the Philippines and Sri Lanka were the top three producers, in that order.
