Brazil's coconut import is forecast to decrease by 1.9% annually between 2021 and 2026, reaching 1.79 million metric tons by the end of the period. This follows a 2.4% annual decline between 2017 and 2021. Meanwhile, Brazilian coconut production is expected to decrease by 1.1% per year between 2021 and 2026, totalling 2.12 million metric tons by the end of the period. Since 1966, the country's supply has decreased by 3% per year. In 2021, Brazil ranked fifth among the leading coconut producing countries, with Sri Lanka overtaking it at 2.26 million metric tons. India, the Philippines and Sri Lanka were numbers two, three and four, respectively.
