Colombia is expected to see declining coconut imports in the coming years. Imports are forecast to decline by 1.3% year on year, to reach 96,100 metric tons in 2026. This is compared to 104,000 metric tons in 2021. At the same time, Colombia is projected to experience growth in coconut production. Supply is predicted to increase by 1.4% year on year, reaching 162,910 metric tons in 2026. This is compared to 150,310 metric tons in 2021. Colombia ranked 21st in 2021, with Venezuela taking the lead at 150,310 metric tons. India, the Philippines and Sri Lanka followed suit as the second, third and fourth largest producers respectively.
