Surprisingly, demand has remained unchanged. Meanwhile, supply of Guyanese coconuts is projected to reach 154,500 metric tons by 2026, up from 135,200 in 2021. This is due to a 2.3% yearly average growth rate since 1966. In comparison, the country ranked 23rd in 2021, with Kiribati leading the way at 135,200 metric tons. India, the Philippines, and Sri Lanka followed in second, third, and fourth place, respectively.
