Senegalese coconut imports are expected to reach 27,000 metric tons by 2026. This marks an increase of 0.8% year-over-year, maintaining the trend of stability observed since 2017. Meanwhile, Senegalese coconut production is forecast to drop 0.7% year-over-year, to 3,530 metric tons by 2026. This follows an upward trend since 1966, when the supply grew at an average rate of 2.8% year-over-year. Cameroon surpassed Senegal in 2021, becoming the world's largest producer with 3,670 metric tons. India, the Philippines and Sri Lanka ranked second, third, and fourth respectively.
