Guatemala's coconut import is projected to decline by 1.3% per year on average up to 2026. In 2021, the country imported 16,000 metric tons of coconut, which was down by 2% from 2017. Meanwhile, Guatemalan coconut production is also forecast to decline at an average rate of 4.8% between 2021 and 2026. In 2021, the country produced 13,210 metric tons of coconut, 8% lower than in 1966. India, the Philippines and Sri Lanka ranked second, third and fourth, respectively, in the same period. Benin overtook Guatemala, taking the 48th spot with 13,210 metric tons.
