Costa Rica's coconut imports are expected to stay at 4,000 metric tons by 2026, the same as in 2021. There has been no change in demand since 2017. Meanwhile, annual production is forecast to decline by 2.7%, to 11,930 metric tons by 2026. This would be a reduction of 0.8% year-on-year since 1966. In 2021, Trinidad and Tobago surpassed Costa Rica, with 14,050 metric tons, and the top four coconut producers were India, the Philippines and Sri Lanka.
