Tokelau is set to increase its coconut production over the next few years. In 2021, the country produced 4,820 metric tons of coconuts, slightly up from the 1.3% growth rate it has seen on average since 1966. This made Tokelau the 68th largest producer of coconuts globally. However, Cape Verde managed to edge out Tokelau with 4,820 metric tons of coconut production. India, the Philippines, and Sri Lanka were the top three producers in 2021.
