Ethiopian banana production is set to reach 665,000 metric tons by 2026, up from 574,000 metric tons in 2021. On average, supply has grown 2.5% each year since 1998. Ethiopia was the 28th largest producer in 2021, behind Honduras with 574,000 metric tons. China, Indonesia and Brazil were the top three in this ranking.
