North Korea's banana consumption plummeted by 25% in 2021, from 4,000 metric tons to 3,000. It's the lowest level since 2017, when demand fell by 15.7% year on year. At 3,000 metric tons, North Korea was the 129th biggest consumer of bananas. Botswana outpaced it at the same level. China, Indonesia, and Brazil occupied the top three spots, respectively.
