Senegalese banana consumption is projected to decline to 15,000 metric tons by 2026 from 23,000 metric tons in 2021, a drop of 7.4 percent on an annual average basis. China, Indonesia and Brazil ranked second, third and fourth in the ranking, respectively. Senegalese banana production is predicted to fall to 31,360 metric tons by 2026 from 31,600 metric tons in 2021, a decrease of 0.1 percent annually. Since 1966, Senegalese supply has decreased by 3.1 percent year on year. The country ranked 66th in 2021, with Jordan surpassing it at 31,600 metric tons. China, Indonesia and Brazil held the second, third and fourth spots in the ranking, respectively.
