Togolese banana consumption is predicted to remain stable over the next five years, with consumption projected to reach 21,000 metric tons in 2026. This figure has remained consistent since 2017, when Togo was ranked 102nd in the world. Estonia was the leading consumer in 2021 at 21,000 metric tons, while China, Indonesia and Brazil ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. Togolese banana production is set to grow at an average annual rate of 1.2% over the next five years, reaching 29,670 metric tons in 2026. This will represent an increase of 2% since 1966. In 2021, Togo ranked 68th in the world, with Grenada ahead in first place at 27,580 metric tons, followed by China, Indonesia and Brazil.
