Haitian consumption of bananas is expected to reach 191,000 metric tons in 2026, down 0.3% annually from 195,000 metric tons in 2021. This marks a decrease of 0.3% from 2017. Haiti placed 50th in the 2021 ranking, behind Mali's 195,000 metric tons. China, Indonesia and Brazil ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th, respectively. Haitian production of bananas is projected to reach 241,420 metric tons in 2026, down 0.6% each year from 249,620 metric tons in 2021. This reflects a 1% decline since 1966. Cuba overtook Haiti in 2021 with 249,620 metric tons. China, Indonesia and Brazil came in 2nd, 3rd and 4th, respectively.
