Somalia's banana production is set to drop 6.2% year-on-year over the next five years. According to figures, it will reach 11,140 metric tons by 2026. This is a decrease of 5.3% since 1966. Somalia ranked 77th in the world for banana production in 2021, behind El Salvador's 16,110 metric tons. China, Indonesia and Brazil occupied the top three positions in the rankings.
